Our heart project “The Project Justine – Train the Trainer”

At the end of last year, a long-awaited dream finally became reality. With the official founding of our non-profit organization “The Project Justine – Train the Trainer” in October 2016, the foundation stone was laid for our training and meeting center in Benin, West Africa.

The project actually started two years ago. At that time, Justine from Benin came to snowy, wintry Munich for a few months to be trained as a seamstress by us. Under the guidance of our master seamstress Marie, Justine learned in our studio what quality standards Noh Nee stands for. Back in Benin, she is now passing on her knowledge to young women. With support from Munich, the first NOH NEE Benin collection was produced by Justine and her team in spring 2016. This collection, which consists of summer dresses and simple dirndls, was successfully sold in our store and online shop in summer 2016.

We would now like to build on these initial successes with our association. The aim is to enable people in developing countries to receive vocational training or further professional development . Based on the "train the trainer" principle, we want to create a training and meeting place in Benin. Young people will be trained and further educated there and will be able to pass on the knowledge they have acquired. In addition to the tailoring trade that we started with at the beginning, we also plan to teach other disciplines in a targeted and sustainable manner.

It is important to us that people can earn their own income after their training and build an independent, self-determined life . In addition, we want to create a sales market in Germany for the products manufactured in the training facility and ensure that people receive a fair and appropriate salary for their work.
